With Barbie's cash register, a real electronic cash register like those found
in the supermarket, you will be able to price your customers' products
using the calculator, retrieve articles from the conveyor belt, scan them
using the infrared barcode reader, and even to call for an assistant using
the microphone! In order to play with your Barbie's cash register and
become a real young shop attendant, please read the following instruc-
tions and request the assistance from an adult to help you fully
understand the safety warnings.
1- Press the "ON/AC" button to switch on the

calculator on Barbie's cash register. You will then be
able to enter the prices and calculate the amount for
your customers' shopping. When you finish playing,
do not forget to press the "OFF" button to switch the
cash register off and save batteries.
2- Press the button located above the barcode

reader in order to scan the articles. You will hear a
"beep" sound, and see a small red indicator lighting
up.
3- Press the "MIC" button to speak in the

microphone, and to call for an assistant in the event
of having problems with an article. Keep this button
pressed while you speak in the microphone.

4- Move the manual conveyor belt forwards or

backwards by turning the handle located to the left of
the belt.
5- Press the "CASH" button to open the till of

Barbie's cash register and put away all the coins and
notes. You can lock your till using the small key.
6 6- Scan your customer's credit card through the card
reader located to the right of the screen. A small sign
will appear above the screen if the payment has
been accepted.
