7. CLEANING
7.1. OF THE CAST IRON FRONT
Cleaning should preferably be performed when
the fireplace is cold, using slightly damp cloths.
7.2. OF THE GLASS DOOR
Glass cleaning agents for heaters are quite
effective.
Never try to clean the glass while the heater is
in operation. We recommend the use of HERGÓM
glass cleaning agent.
Replacement:
T he glass of your fireplace is
thermally resistant, especially for wood and /or coal
heaters. In the event of accidental breakage, it
should
be
replaced
characteristics. Contact our Supplier to obtain the
appropriate glass, together with the installation
instructions and gaskets.
8. SAFETY
Warning
Gas, wood or pellet fireplaces heat up when lit. As a result it is necessary to be
cautious and keep a certain distance away, especially children, old people, people
with special needs and pets while the fire is on.
Make sure that children and anyone else not used to the workings of a fireplace, are
supervised by an older person when near.
To avoid burns and also to protect vulnerable people it is advisable to use a
fireguard or screen. The use of heat resistant gloves are recommended when in
contact with the fireplace.

7.3. OF THE BAFFLE PLATE

A – Slide the baffle plate forwards and
upwards until the side pins of the baffle are
rem oved (Fig.1)
B – Move the baffle downwards until it is released
(Fig.2).

Clean the baffle plate on both sides once a
season using hard brushes (wire). This facilitates
the transfer of heat through the plate and avoids
to a great extent its deterioration.

Replace the baffle plate, following the steps
described in point 1 in the reverse order.
7.4. GASKETS AND SEALS
A visual inspection of the gasket s (doors,
sam e
glass, etc.) and sealing is recommended at the
beginning and in the middle of the season to
check whether they need to be replaced or
repaired.
