9.1
1. The installation instructions issued by the panel manufacturer must be observed.
2. Position the first end clamps (MSP-EC, 21) at the ends of the longitudinal chan-
nels (MSP-AL-LC, 18) and tighten the screws slightly using a 6 mm bit or hex
key.
3. Place the PV panel on the longitudinal channel (MSP-AL-LC, 18) and slide it into
the end clamps (MSP-EC, 21).
4. Align the PV panel correctly and then tighten the screws in the end clamps (MSP-
EC, 21) securely to a torque of M
5. Fit the middle clamps (MSP-MC, 23) into the longitudinal channel (MSP-AL-LC,
18), slide them into position against the PV panel which is already in place and
tighten the screws slightly.

9.2
1. The Hilti solar park installation system is suitable for use with thin-film PV pan-
els. The installation instructions issued by the panel manufacturer must be
observed. The panels are laid out in horizontal format.
2. Fit the panel end clamps (MSP-TFL-EC, 22) into the longitudinal channel (MSP-
AL-LC, 18) and tighten the screws slightly using a 5 mm bit or hex key so that
the nut turns through 90°.
3. Position two middle clamps (MSP-TFL-MC, 24) on the upper horizontal edge of
the thin-film panel.
4. Guide the lower edge of this prepared thin-film panel into the panel end clamps
(MSP-TFLEC, 23) on the longitudinal channel (MSP-AL-LC, 18).
5. Fit the middle clamps (MSP-TFL-MC, 24) on the top edge of the panel into the
longitudinal channel (MSP-AL-LC, 18) and tighten the screws slightly using a 5
mm bit or hex key so that the nut turns through 90°.

The cable holders (MSP-AL-CH 8, 25) are fitted in the grooves in the sides of the
longitudinal channels (MSP-ALLC, 18). Insert the cable holders (with the clips hor-
izontal) in the groove in the side of the longitudinal channel (MSP-AL-LC, 18) and
then rotate the cable holder through 90°. Press the cables (max. dia. 8 mm) into
the clips on the cable holders.

6. Place the next PV panel on the longitudinal channels and slide it into place under
the middle clamps (MSP-MC, 23).
7. Align the PV panel correctly and then tighten the screws to a torque of M
Nm using a 6 mm bit or hex key.
8. Subsequent panels are mounted in the same way.
9. The last PV panel in a row must be secured at its outside edge with end clamps
(MSP-EC, 21). Fit the end clamps (MSP-EC, 21) into the longitudinal channel
(MSP-AL-LC, 18), slide them into position against the PV panel, align the panel
correctly and then tighten the screws securely to a torque of M
a 6 mm bit or hex key.
6. Align the panel correctly in its final position. Tighten the middle and end clamps
to a torque of M
= 15 Nm using a 5 mm bit or hex key.

7. Subsequent panels are mounted in the same way.
8. The outside edge of the panels at the end of a row must be secured with end
clamps (MSP-TFL-EC, 22).
* Certified by First Solar.
The clamps (MSP-TFL-MC, 24 and MSP-TFL-EC, 22) can thus be used with First
Solar thin-film panels (FS Series 2 laminate panels).
Cable holders of the type MSP-AL-BCH 8, 26 are fitted on the underside of the trans-
versal channel (MSPAL-TC, 11) and secured in the grooves at the sides. Push the
cable holders onto the transversal channels from below until they engage in the
grooves at the side. Press the cables (max. dia. 8 mm) into the cable holders.
