5. Functional principle

The FastHeat Digital device uses the heat flow in the milk: The heated milk rises to the surface, and the cold milk
drops to the bottom of the bucket where it is then heated up again by the heater. Because the heater is typically
located in the coolest part of the milk due to its reduced build height (bottom of the bucket), it can transfer its
heating energy to the milk at full capacity, and thus quite efficiently. This ensures an efficient and even heating of
the milk.
6. Operation
Before using for the first time
Before first use, thoroughly clean the surface of the heater (4) with lukewarm water.
Before switch-on
Before connecting the plug to the socket, place the device in the liquid to be warmed. Note the maximum and
minimum immersion depth of the device. This is marked on the immersion tube (3).
Ensure that the bucket or the container with the liquid to be heated stands securely on level and stable ground, so
as to prevent the device from falling over.
Switch on device and heat liquid
Connect plug (2) to the socket. The display (8) illuminates in green. To switch on, press the
for 3 seconds until you hear a beep. The last target temperature set then appears on the display.
After 3 seconds the display changes:
Indication on the display
The actual temperature currently measured
(e.g. 23 °C)
The red check light (9) next to the display indicates whether the heating element is actually heating.
• Check light on: the heating element heats.
• Check light off: the heating element does not heat.
After the target temperature has been reached, the heater switches off, the check light extinguishes, the display
flashes, and an acoustic signal sounds 6 times.
Tip: Wait until the heating process is complete so as to achieve an even temperature distribution within the liquid.
If the FastHeat device continues to be left in the container, the liquid will be re-heated again when the temperature
drops so as to ensure that the pre-set target temperature is maintained (heat retention mode).
Meaning
The device is heating and determines the liquid quantity to be
heated. After 3 minutes the actual measured temperature of the
liquid will be shown.
The device is either heating or in heat retention mode.
