Thank you for purchasing the Scrambler Board (GP-1040). Installing this
scrambler board adds the function of security (encryption) for the image data to
be stored into the hard disk drive of the Toshiba Multifunctional Digital Systems.
After installing it, the system starts to work every time the power is turned ON. Your
important data are always encrypted to be stored into the hard disk drive and
decrypted to be read from it.
Before you use this scrambler board, read this Operator's Manual.
* When the equipment works properly, so does the security function of the scrambler board.
When you want to confirm the status, press the [USER FUNCTIONS] button on the control
panel. See page 6 for details.
* If there is a problem with the security function, the equipment cannot be operated. See page
5, 'When "Call for service" appears', for details.
* After GP-1040 has been installed, reformatting of the hard disk drive of the equipment is required.
Therefore, remember that the following data are deleted.
(1) Image data in the e-Filing
(2) F-code information, Template registration information and Address book
(3) Department management data
(4) Data in the shared folder (Scanned data, Saved data of copy / Fax transmission)
(5) Print waiting data (Copying data and Fax reception data that are waiting to be printed due to
paper running out, jams, etc.)
(6) Print job (Private print data and Schedule print data)
(7) Fax saved data (Confidential / Bulletin board data)
(8) Registered data for Fax transmission (Delayed transmission / Recovery transmission)
