When the required IR-Sensor detection range is reached press the function knob (1). The
adjusted IR-Sensor detection range is now saved and the application program returns to
SENSOR StartStop.

4. Safety symbols and safety functions

The safety LED's appear during usage to warn the user of potential hazards.

4.1 Residual heat display

The LED „Burner Head Hot / BHC"
LED shines, DO NOT TOUCH the burner head. This can cause serious burns.
Even after switching-off the unit, the residual heat LED remains "on" till the burner head
is cooled down.
Disconnecting the power supply or removing the power cord will clear

the residual heat display even if the burner head is still hot.

4.2 Burner Head Control (BHC)

If the burner head is clogged, the amber LED "Burner Head HOT / BHC" (8) will flash
you have to clean the burner head (see paragraph 5.5), otherwise the maximum
burning time in the operating mode "Button" and Pedal "Start-Stop" is limited to 30
seconds (see paragraph 6.1). If burning times longer than 30 seconds are required
in case of a clogged burner head, the operating mode "Pedal Standard" can be used
without time limit.

4.3 Automatic unit switch off

The unit switches itself off automatically after 4 hours if it is not used during this time.
The button & IR-Sensor programs switch off after 10 minutes. Even in the event of a fault,
the device shuts off after 4 hours and the error display goes out (see paragraph 5). For
further operation, switch the unit on again.

4.4 DoubleClick IR-Sensor

For flame ignition, activate the IR-Sensor (6) by passing your hand over it twice within a
time range of 1 sec. After the first activation the LED Sensor blinks fast for 1 sec. Within
this time range the IR-Sensor (6) needs to be activated a second time to ignite the flame.
