Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this GBC
®
Pouch
Laminator. Please take the time to study these
instructions to ensure the best results out of your
machine. The laminator heats up to operating
temperature and retains its heat so you can
continuously laminate your documents without
waiting. The laminator provides a visual indication
that it is ready to laminate. Turn off power and
unplug unit when it will not be used for extended
periods of time.
For best lamination results and performance,
use only GBC pouches. Maximum pouch
thickness is 3 mil/75 mic (legal size) and 5 mil/
125 mic (4"x 6" photo size) pouches.
Your new laminator may emit a slight odor during
the initial operation. It is normal and will diminish
after a few hours of operation.
Operation
1. Remove unit from box and packaging.
2. Insert plug into electrical outlet.
3. Turn the unit On with the switch located on the
top of the unit (fig. 1). It will take approximately
4-8 minutes for the laminator to be ready.
4. Position the document to be laminated into a
GBC laminating pouch, so that the document
is aligned to the folded sealed edge and the
right and left borders are equal (fig. 2).
5. When the ready light turns green (fig. 1), insert
the pouch and its contents straight into the
machine, leading with the sealed edge (fig. 3).
Do not use with a carrier.
6. The laminated item will exit from the rear of
the machine. Once the laminated pouch has
stopped moving, it should be removed quickly
from the back of the unit. This will help prevent
unwanted jams and wrinkling (fig. 4).
7. Once you have finished laminating, it is
recommended that you clean your laminator
while it is still warm and running.
(See Cleaning instructions.)
8. When finished, turn the unit off using the
power switch located on the top of the unit
(fig. 1).
