calculated capacity
< 550 ml
• 2 - 6 parts
• 600 ml beaker (minimum quantity 200 ml)
• large magnetic agitator rod
Measure out the gold electrolyte and brightener addi-
tive using the appropriate measuring beaker and pour
into the required beaker, inserting any reduction rings
required into the hotplate cover. Then place the beaker
onto the hotplate.
!
Note:
The gold electrolyte can only ever be used for a single
deposition. Ensure, therefore, that you measure out the
gold electrolyte as accurately as possible (± 2 ml). This
is the only way to ensure effective electroforming and
to obtain the maximum benefit from the gold electro-
lyte.
Please heed the shelf life of the gold electrolyte, as
well as any storage instructions.
Note that the gold electrolyte can stain clothes and
equipment – please take suitable precautions when
handling!
Assembly
Assemble electroforming head, distance piece and sili-
cone seal. Pull the copper rods through the appropriate
holes (the outer six holes for the large beaker, the
middle four holes for the medium-sized beaker and the
inner two openings for the small beaker) and arrange
the parts as indicated by the arrow.
