Determining the power level, electroforming thick-
ness and quantity of gold electrolyte required:
Compare the size of the respective surfaces to be
electroformed with the reference samples in the
comparison chart.
Refer to the comparison chart to ascertain the power
level and the quantity of gold electrolyte required for
each die and each respective electroforming thickness
(process time), and add the individual quantities of gold
electrolyte together.
In order to make a better check, you should make a
note of the individual power levels and the required
quantities of gold electrolyte (enter these in a copy of
the deposition data chart shown on chapter 9).
!
Please note:
The AGC
®
Micro unit enables you to calculate the
required quantity of gold electrolyte. To do this, first set
the required program by means of the timer button.
Then set the required power level using the power level
button. The required quantity of gold electrolyte will
then be shown in the status display. To clear the inputs,
reset all channels to power level zero or switch the unit
off and then on again.
Typical calculations:
¿ Part at power level 5, part at power level 3,
electroforming thickness: 0.2 mm
‹ 49 ml + 28 ml = 77 ml
¡ Part at power level 4,
electroforming thickness: 0.2 mm
‹ 37 ml (use 50 ml, see capacities stated!)
