DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLIANCE
Despite the fact that development is constantly
moving in the direction of digital audio format and
towards audio video systems with an increasing
number of channels, high quality stereo systems
still enjoy a large degree of popularity. Some users
are put off by the installation of complex multi-
channel systems and enjoy viewing DVD films in
stereo. Other music enthusiasts do not want to
switch to a surround sound system because that
will never reach the sound quality of an equally pri-
zed High-End stereo system. Especially if a space-
saving second audio system at home should not
also save on sound quality, stereo integrated
amplifiers are preferred.
The SV-226MKII is a remote-controlled stereo inte-
grated amplifier. It has been included in Vincent's
range as the best-equipped hybrid integrated

Vincent
amplifier. However, the main focus has been on
the amplifier circuitry which combines the advan-
tages of both transistor amplifiers and valve ampli-
fiers and also sets standards. The device also has
enough power to drive and control two pairs of
common loudspeakers. Other equipment features
are the circuitry control of other devices (Power
Control), a headphone output, tone control that
can be switched off, a Loudness function, remote
control and a switch between the two pairs of loud-
speakers. The highest manufacturing quality and
excellent value for money go without saying.
This amplifier is the ideal partner for Vincent DVD
players, CD players, tuners, headphone amplifiers
and loudspeakers. In combination with the HiFi fur-
niture and speaker cables from the range, one can
build a perfectly harmonious system.

1. INPUT: Input Selector
One of the six audio sources connected to the
amplifier inputs can be selected for playback
here. The LED above the dial associated with the
selected input is lit as long as the amplifier
remains switched on and is not muted.
2. Infrared receiver for the remote control
3. VOLUME
The volume of the loudspeakers and the speakers
may be increased or decreased with this knob.
4. SPEAKERS
With this switch you can turn loudspeaker outputs
A and B on and off separately.
5. TONE

7. POWER: Mains switch
This is the main power switch for turning on and
off the device. When switched off, the device is
disconnected from the mains. The switching ope-
ration is signalled via the cables connected in the
terminal "POWER CONTROL" (17).
8. TREBLE
For setting the treble proportions (high frequen-
cies) of the sound.
9. LOUD: Loudness function
This button activates and deactivates an audio
signal correction that adapts the speaker audio
signal to the human auditory sensation in the
lower volume range.
10. PHONES
If desired, you can connect a set of headphones
with an impedance between 32 Ω and 600 Ω to
this stereo jack. As long as the headphones are
plugged in, the loudspeakers are switched off.
The volume of the headphone can be changed
with the rotary knob "VOLUME" (3)(20). Before
plugging-in a headphone, the volume setting
should be reduced.
