To decompress the stomach with a syringe:
1. Attach the MIC-KEY* SF Bolus Feed Extension Set with ENFit
to the Feed Port.
2. Remove the plunger from the barrel of the ENFit
3. Attach the barrel of the ENFit
Hold the syringe at a 90
4. Allow fluid and air to flow up into the barrel of the syringe, (stomach
contents should appear as formula or clear or yellow liquid). If there
is a large volume of fluid, clamp the Extension Set, pour content from
the barrel of the syringe into a collecting cup or bag. Repeat until
decompression is completed.
5 . Replace stomach content, flush the Extension Set with water, and begin/
resume feeding.
