Post-processing
After the final sintering has taken place:
▷ If required, the zirconium oxide frames can be reworked without
pressure, using a water-cooled lab turbine and suitable diamond
grinding points (recommended (recommended grain approx.
40 m).
Frame preparation for veneering
After checking the fitting accuracy, contact points and occlusion:
▷ Clean the interior crown surfaces by means of corundum blasting
(aluminium oxide, 110m, pressure ≤ 2 bar) and subsequent steam-
ing off.
Veneer ceramics
Ceramill ZI is suitable for veneering with conventional zirconium-
oxide veneer ceramics (e.g., Creation ZI-CT). For information on the
thermal-expansion coefficient of long-term cooled Ceramill ZI blanks,
please refer to the Technical data (see page 22).
For bridges with more than five units and bridges with massive inter-
mediate units, step-by-step long-term cooling to 500 °C is recom-
mended.
Fixation
Conventional cementation:
Due to the high strength and stability of Ceramill ZI frames, conven-
tional fixation with zinc-oxide phosphate cement or glass ionomer
cement (e.g., GC Fuji Plus) is possible in most cases.
