1. Fuse holder: Remove this holder to change the fuse.
2. Power supply: Connection to the mains.
3. Microphone: Trigger the pre-programmed effects when
used in stand-alone mode.
4. DIP switches: Set the DMX address of the VDP250EL
(See "Projector DMX start address selection"). With
DIP switch 10 ON you have MASTER-SLAVE mode.
5. Jack input: 6.3mm jack to connect the controller with
extra functions.
6. DMX input: XLR male connector to insert the DMX
input cable from a light console or from another DMX-controlled feature.
7. DMX output: XLR 3-pin female connector to connect this VDP250EL with another DMX-controlled
feature.
i. Working mode
1. Stand-alone mode: Connect the VDP250EL to the mains and it will start working. When the VDP250EL
detects music it will automatically change on the rhythm of the music.
2. Master-slave mode: Connect 2 or more VDP250ELs with an XLR cable. The first VDP250EL will be
master and all VDP250ELs connected after will be working in slave mode.
3. Optional controller: Only works in master/slave mode.
4. DMX mode: When you want to control the VDP250EL trough DMX512, you can set the starting address
as explained in "Projector DMX start address selection".
j. Optional controller for using in MASTER / SLAVE mode (fig. 7)
Connect the controller to the jack input on the backside of the VDP250EL. This will work in master/slave mode only.
6. Cleaning and Maintenance
1. All screws should be tightened and free of corrosion.
2. The housing, visible parts, mounting supports and the installation location (e.g. ceiling, suspension, trussing)
should not be deformed, modified or tampered with e.g. do not drill extra holes in mounting supports, do not
change the location of the connections.
3. Moving mechanic parts must not show any signs of wear and tear.
4. The electric power supply cables must not show any damage. Have a qualified technician maintain the device.
VDP250EL
• Standby button:
Press the button to have all VDP250ELs in black-out mode. All VDP250ELs will go out
while a LED will glow on the controller. To save the lamp, the lamp will be switched off
after 30 seconds.
• Mode:
With this button you can control the gobo and colour wheel in the sound-activated
mode. When the LED is off it will be working FAST on the sound of music. When the
LED is on, the movements will be working on sound but the gobo and colour wheel are
in 0 position. You can control these with the FUNCTION button.
• Function button:
When the VDP250EL is in fast mode you have 3 strobe functions with this button:
o Different gobo/colour strobe
o Synchronous strobe in white
o Two-light strobe in white.
When the VDP250EL is in slow mode, every time you push the button the connected
VDP250ELs will change the gobo/colour wheel.
