Recharging the battery

1. Remove the battery (5) from the
appliance, as necessary.
2. Inser the battery (5) in the charg-
ing compartment of the battery
charger (15). It will audibly snap in.
3. Plug the battery charger (15) into
a mains outlet.
4. When the battery is fully re-
charged unplug the battery
charger (15) from the mains.
5. Press the release button (
19) on the battery (5) and pull
the battery out of the battery
charger (15).

Used batteries

• If a fully recharged battery lasts for
considerably shorter operating times,
the battery is used up and needs to
be replaced. Only use an OEM battery
pack replacement available from our
Customer Service.
• Always take heed of the applicable
safety instructions as well as the envi-
ronmental protection regulations and
information (see "Cleaning and Main-
tenance").

Initial start-up

Before operating the equipment, you must
- install the blower or suction pipes,
- install the collection bag for suctioning
leaves,
Caution, Risk of Injury! During
the assembly or disassembly of
the blower pipe, suction pipe or
collection bag, the engine must
be turned off, the on/off switch
set on „0", and all moving parts
must have come to a standstill.

Assembling/dismantling the
three-piece blow tube
1. Assemble the three-piece blow
tube (14) as illustrated. The parts
can be felt to lock into place.
2. Now push the blow tube (14) on
to the blowing aperture of the
motor housing (1) as far as the
locking device (13).
3. Dismantle the blow tube (14)
by releasing the lock (13) and
pulling off the blow tube down-
wards.
Assembling/dismantling the
three-piece suction tube
1. Assemble the three suction
tubes (10) as illustrated.
2. Press the locking switch (8) on
the device housing (1) to release
the protective cover (11) of the
suction aperture.
3. Remove the protective cover (11).
4. To mount the suction tube (10)
in the motor housing (5), push it
into the suction aperture. Make
sure that the guide lugs on the
elbow of the suction tube enga-
ge in the recesses of the aper-
ture. These then lock into place.
Installing/removing the
collection bag
In suction mode the device can
only be operated with the collec-
tion bag installed.
1. If necessary, remove the blower
tube ( 14) (see „Assembling/
dismantling the three-piece blow
tube").
