Do not use the cable for purposes for which it
has not been designed!
Do not use the cable to pull the plug out of the
socket. Protect the cable from heat and sharp
edges.
Avoid any abnormal body posture!
Keep a safe posture and keep balance at all times.
Treat your tools and appliances with care!
Keep your tools sharp and clean so that they could
work better and safer.
Follow the servicing and tool replacement
instructions.
At regular intervals, check the appliance cable and
have it replaced by a recognised expert if damaged.
Periodically check the extension cable and replace it
if necessary.
Keep the handles dry and with no oil and fat.
Pull the plug out of socket!
Pull the plug out of socket when the appliance is not
in use, before servicing and when changing any
tool, e.g. sharpening stones.
If an extension cable is used, make sure the line
voltage is equal to or higher than the appliance
voltage and that an earthed cable is used.
Do not leave the tool plug plugged in!
Before starting the appliance, always check that all
wrenches and adjustment tools are removed from
the appliance.
Avoid accidental start-up!
When putting the plug to a socket, make sure the
switch is off.
Be careful!
Pay attention to what you are doing. Use common
sense when working. Do not use the appliance
when you are tired.
Check the appliance for damage!
Before using the appliance, it is necessary to
carefully check the protective equipment or slightly
damaged parts if functioning perfectly and in
accordance with the designation.
Check the moving parts if working perfectly, whether
they are not seized or damaged. All parts must be
fitted properly and meet all conditions to ensure
proper operation of the appliance. Damaged
protective equipment and parts must be
professionally repaired and replaced by an
authorised specialised service centre, unless
otherwise provided in the Operating Instructions.
Have any damaged switches replaced in a customer
service centre.
Do not use tools where the switch cannot be turned
on and off.

Have your appliance repaired by a qualified
electrician!
This appliance complies with the relevant safety
regulations. Repairs may only be executed by a
qualified electrician, using original spare parts;
otherwise, the user could get injured.
Appliance-specific safety instructions
The knife sharpener has exclusively been
designed for dry sharpening. In any case, it
must not come into contact with liquids.
The knife sharpener may only be used to
sharpen aluminium, steel and stainless steel
knives without serrated edge, with a minimum
blade length of 10 cm.
Sparks are produced during sharpening. Keep
the knife sharpener in safe distance from
flammable liquids and materials.
Do not touch the sharpening stone and knife
immediately after use as they may be very hot.
When the workpiece turns blue during
sharpening, it is overheated and can get
damaged. During sharpening, cool the
workpiece in water at regular intervals and dry it
out before further sharpening.
The knife sharpener may only be used when
the blade guides are fitted.
