Maintenance and storing
Always pull the plug out of socket before
performing any work.
Only a properly maintained and well treated
appliance can be a satisfactory aid. Insufficient
maintenance and care may lead to unpredictable
accidents and injuries.
Keep the housing body free of any dust and dirt.
Use a soft cloth and fine soap solution to clean the
appliance. Avoid direct contact of aggressive
cleaning agents with the appliance. Do not use any
aggressive, volatile or corrosive agents. Once a
year, have the knife sharpener checked by a
qualified authorised professional. The appliance
must be protected against moisture and dust. Keep
the appliance covered in a dry and safe place, out of
reach of children when the appliance is not going to
be used any time soon.

Take out the access plug to the
sharpening dust collector and
remove the sharpening dust from
the appliance by slight tapping.
Replacing the sharpening discs
Have the following actions – replacement of
sharpening stones – taken by professionals. Do not
forget that any warranty claim ceases to apply by
opening the housing body.
To remove the sharpening stones, take out the
housing body cover by removing the six screws on
the bottom of the appliance (pic. 1/8).
Use a size 8 open spanner to release the nuts of the
sharpening stones and replace them with new ones
(set of sharpening stones for 94188, product
number: 94119). Pay special attention to the proper
installation position of the sharpening stones
(coarse grain for knife slot 1 – fine grain for knife
slot 2).
Tighten the fastening nuts of the sharpening stones
and screw the housing body.
