Danger of Electric Shock and Fire
Use the device only in closed rooms.
The device should only be connected to a properly installed plug socket with safety
contacts. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that
the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated. The mains voltage must match
the technical data of the device. Only use suitable extension cables whose technical
data is the same as that of the device.
Should the device fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Do not
attempt to pull it out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!
Do not use the device if it has malfunctioned or been dropped on the ground or in
water. Have it checked in a specialist workshop before using it again.
Never touch the device, mains cord or plug with wet hands when these components
are connected to the mains power.
Switch off the device and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket if an error occurs
during operation or before a thunderstorm.
Always pull the plug and never the mains cord.
Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable dust or poisonous and
explosive fumes.
Do not operate the device in a very damp environment or in the vicinity of combus-
tible material.
Danger of overheating! With hard foodstuffs, e. g. raw vegetables, or very large
quantities of food, do not use the device for longer than 1 minute without stopping.
Then let the device cool down for 4 minutes before you use it again.
Always check the device for damage before putting it into operation. Only use it if the
device, mains cord and plug have no signs of damage!
Avoiding Damage to Material, Property and the Device
Maintain suffi cient clearance from other sources of heat such as hotplates or stoves
and to gas sources in order to avoid damage to the device.
Only use the device if it has been completely assembled, is not damaged, and is
fully functional!
Fruit may only be chopped up if the core / pips have been removed!
Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong temperature fl uctuations,
direct sunlight or moisture.
Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
Do not pull or carry the device by the mains cord.
Make sure that the mains cord is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
Only the accessory parts supplied by the manufacturer should be used. If accessory
parts which are not authorised by the manufacturer are used, all warranty and
guarantee claims are void.
Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device. These can
damage the surface.
