The correct position of the chain will have the cutting
edges of the teeth in the direction of rotation of the
chain:

5. Place the chain cover ensuring that the tensioning
bolt continues in the hole in the bar.
6. Place the cap nut and lightly tighten with your
fingers.
7. Tighten the chain, to do this turn the chain
tensioning screw clockwise to tighten or
counterclockwise to loosen the chain until the chain
tension is correct. (More information in point 5.2.1).
8. Tighten the cap nut tightly with the supplied
wrench.
9. Verify that the chain slides along the bar while
maintaining adequate tension when you move it by
hand. If necessary repeat the tensioning procedure
until the chain is correctly installed.
New chains have a certain expansion when they
start to be used. Check and regulate chain tension
regularly. An incorrectly tensioned chain will wear
quickly and wear the chain bar guide.

5.2.1. CHAIN TENSIONING

1. Make sure the chain is inside the guide groove of
the bar.
2. Loosen the nut of the chain cover.

3. Turn the chain tensioning screw (1) clockwise to
tighten or counterclockwise to loosen the chain until
the chain tension is correct.
a. Example (A) corresponds to a strained chain.
b. Example (B) corresponds to a chain that is too
loose.
