Operation with power adapter
Instead of batteries, the CD player can be op-
erated by a transformer (5 V DC, 600 mA; not includ-
ed) which should comply with EN 61558 for electric
toys. Plug the small end of the power adaptor into the
DC jack (16) located on the right side of the unit and
plug the power adaptor to the standard AC wall socket.
Please follow the safety instructions for the use of
power adaptors (page 9).

Operation

To play a CD:
Press the ON/OFF button (6). The power indicator (5)
lights up when your device turns on. Press this button
to toggle between power on and off. Open the CD com-
partment (2) on the top right side of the CD door (4).
Insert disc into the disc compartment with the title side
facing upward. Close the CD door, press the PLAY/
PAUSE/WAKE button (7), total number of tracks will
show on the LCD display for a short period of time and
then it will start to playback the first track on the CD.
Rotate the VOLUME control (13) to desired sound lev-
el. During the playback of CD, press the PLAY/PAUSE/
WAKE button (7) to pause and press the button again
to resume. Press the STOP button (9) to stop the CD
playback. Press SKIP / buttons (11, 12) to jump to
next or previous track. Press and hold SKIP / but-
tons to search rapidly within a track to locate a specific
section on the track. After all tracks on the CD have
been played, the CD player will stop automatically.
Note: When the CD is idle in stop mode around 30
seconds, the CD player will turn into Sleep mode au-
tomatically. The LCD display will turn off and all CD
playback and skip functions are disabled including
PROGRAM and PLAY MODE functions. Press PLAY/
PAUSE/WAKE button (7) once to wake the CD play-
er up and start the CD playback again. Do not open the
CD door while the disc is playing or rotating. To remove
CD disc, press the STOP button (9) first before open-
ing the CD door.
This unit can only play standard music
Compact Disc (CD) format on CD/
CD-R/CD-RW disc. MP3/WMA files
on CD/CD-R/CD-RW disc and/or other CD formats are
not supported. Playing any incompatible CD formats on
the unit may lead to erratic behavior of the unit or cause
malfunction of the unit.
To Repeat One Track on CD
During the CD playback, press SKIP / button (11
or 12) to select a track you wish to repeat. Press the
PLAY MODE button (8) until the Repeat 1 » « indi-
cator is shown on LCD display. The unit will play the
desired track repeatedly. To cancel the PLAY MODE
setting, press the PLAY MODE button continuously
until all PLAY MODE indicators (» «, »
TRO« and »SHUFF«) disappear.
To Repeat the Entire CD
During the CD playback, press PLAY MODE (8) con-
tinuously until the Repeat All »
on LCD display. The unit plays all tracks on the disc
repeatedly. To cancel the PLAY MODE setting, press
the PLAY MODE button continuously until all PLAY
MODE indicators (» «, »
»SHUFF«) disappear.
To Play CD Intro
During the CD playback, press PLAY MODE (8) con-
tinuously until the »INTRO« indicator is shown on
LCD display. The »INTRO« indicator will be blinking.
Press PLAY/PAUSE/WAKE button (7) again, the unit
will play the first 10 seconds of each track on the disc.
To cancel the PLAY MODE setting, press the PLAY
MODE button continuously until all PLAY MODE in-
dicators (» «, »
«, »INTRO« and »SHUFF«) dis-
appear.
To Play CD in Shuffle Mode
During the CD playback, press PLAY MODE (8) con-
tinuously until the »SHUFF« indicator is shown on LCD
display. The »SHUFF« indicator will be blinking. Press
PLAY/PAUSE/WAKE button (7) again, the unit will
play all tracks on the CD disc in random order. To can-
cel the PLAY MODE setting, press the PLAY MODE
button continuously until all PLAY MODE indicators
(» «, »
«, »INTRO« and »SHUFF«) disappear.
To Program Tracks on CD (up to 20 Tracks)
Load the CD you wish to program. Make sure the CD is
in STOP < mode with number of tracks being displayed
on the LCD display. (By pressing the STOP button (9)
to stop CD playback to enter STOP mode). Press the
PROGRAM button (10) once, »PROG« indicator with
»00« memory track number will blink, and »01« pro-
gram number will display on the LCD. Press the SKIP
/ buttons (11, 12) until the desired track number
is reached. Press the PROGRAM button (10) to store
the selection. Repeat these steps until you have entered
all the tracks you desired to program.To play the stored
sequence, press the PLAY/PAUSE/WAKE
(7). The PROG indicator is shown on the LCD display
during PROGRAM mode. After all programmed tracks
have been played back; the CD player will stop auto-
matically. Note: If you want to cancel the programmed
tracks, press the STOP button (9) once.
