strand (see fig. 14).
• Repeat the 4-5 second heat process until you have reached
the end of the strand (see fig. 15).
• After finishing styling, let your hair cool down and then
comb it through. Your hair is crimped.
Switching off the appliance
Switch off the appliance using the ON/OFF switch b.
CAUTION!
The appliance can be damaged by overheating! Make sure that
the appliance is open during the cooling phase.
› Automatic deactivation function (see fig. 16 – 17)
The appliance is efficient in its use of energy and switches
automatically after 20 minutes after the last use of the ON/OFF
switch b itself into the stand-by mode.
This is indicated by flashing of the temperature control light
(red) (see fig. 16). You may use the appliance again by turning
the appliance 1 x off and on via the ON/OFF switch b (see fig.
17).
Note!
When the appliance is in stand-by mode, it can only be
operated again via the ON/OFF switch b. Disconnecting from
the mains and reconnecting does not switch the appliance back
on - the appliance remains in stand-by mode.
› Ion-generator
Your appliance is equipped with an ion generator which is
automatically activated when the appliance is switched on. This
function will give your hair enhanced shine while styling. The
ion generator also prevents the build-up of static charge on
your hair. A soft hiss or crackle will be heard.
› Cleaning and care
DANGER!
Danger to life from electric shock!
There is danger to life in case of contact with live cables or
components! Hence, please observe the following safety
instructions:
• Before cleaning, disconnect the appliance from the mains.
• Never immerse the appliance in water.
