Connection of a DMX Controller

The DMX input is only intended for connecting a DMX controller with DMX-512 protocol.
• Connect the DMX IN port with the output of the DMX controller.
• Use a screened XLR cable. The controller must have one or four free control channels.
• Connect DMX OUT with the DMX input of the subsequent device. If the Power Pack is the last or only device in
the DMX chain, insert a plug with a 120 Ohm/0.25 W terminating resistor here (between pin2 and pin3).
Pin assignment of the DMX connection: Pin1 = ground / Pin2 = (-) / Pin3 = (+)
Never connect the ground pin (GND) to the casing ground, which might result in an interference of the
signal transmission caused by ground loops.
