REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION
Remote control units are intended for use wherever welding parameters
have to be set from the workplace. The remote control unit is connected
electrically to the power source by means of special cables, 10m, 20m or
30m long. The control unit is galvanically separated from the casing, thus
protecting the electronic components in the event of the remote control
cable being damaged.

N.B.!
- The remote control units described below may be used in combination
with all rectifiers of the WTU series (WTU 307,457,657).
- When used remote control unit FR3S-1 a 6-to-4-pole adaptor must be
attached to the remote control cable.
- Due to the specific application of each of the various remote control
units, these are not printed with current scales, but with auxiliary scales
from 1-10, identical to those on the power source.
FR 1-1 REMOTE CONTROL UNIT
Handy welding-current remote control unit - may be attached to the body or
to the workpiece
. The current may be steplessly adjusted using the
welding current regulator

- Link the connecting socket

the remote control cable.
- Insert the plug-in connections the correct way round and screw on as far
as they will go.

FR 3-1 REMOTE CONTROL UNIT
A sturdy workplace remote control unit which is attached to the workpiece
or to the welding bench by means of a permanent magnet located on the
back. The welding current may be steplessly adjusted from MIN - MAX with
the regulator dial
