Getting started

Inserting the batteries

The device needs three 1.5 V batteries (AA type) to work.
To insert the batteries, proceed as follows:
1. Remove the securing screw of the lid of the battery compartment on the bot-
tom of the »iBell-2«. Unhinge the battery compartment lid.
2. Now insert three AA type batteries into the battery compartment.
Ensure the right polarity is selected for the batteries.
3. Now close the battery compartment lid and replace the securing screw.
As soon as the batteries have been inserted, the white chaser light on the
»iBell-2« will briefly blink.
Battery Level Indication (Self Test):
Use the self-test function to verify that your »iBell-2« is powered on, and the
batteries are working properly: While the »iBell-2« is idle, simply press the reset
button. »iBell-2« will then blink twice to indicate that the unit is in operation.
Low Battery Indicator:
An incessantly flashing red light indicates that battery power is low. If the bat-
tery power becomes too weak for the device to operate, it switches off auto-
matically.
If the battery level indicator flashes repeatedly, please change the batteries, as
the »iBell-2« may cease to function until they are replaced.
Positioning the »iBell-2«
Place the »iBell-2« on a flat, non-vibrating surface.
Suitable surfaces: tables, shelves etc.
Unsuitable surfaces: tumble dryers, washing machines etc.

Positioning the mobile phone

1. Switch your mobile phone to vibration alarm. If your mobile phone has
variable vibration settings, select the alarm with the longest and strongest
vibration.
