Safety Instructions
1. lways wear heat-resistant gloves, if you come into contact with the
metal probe or the lead during the roasting process or once it has been
completed, because they are very hot. Please do not touch them at any
time with your bare hands! Risk of burning!
2. Keep the batteries, the lead and the metal probe away from children at
all times.
3. Clean the probe thoroughly before and after each use using hot water
and a mild detergent and dry it off. The roasting thermometer is not
suitable for dishwashers. Never immerse the appliance in water or other
liquids as it is not waterproof.
4. Never clean the body using caustic or abrasive cleaning agents which
can damage or destroy the body or the electronics.
5. Do not expose the device to the effects of quite heavy loads, dust, high
temperatures or high air humidity in order to avoid malfunctions and
damage.
6. Do not make unauthorized changes to the components, under any
circumstances, as the guarantee will otherwise become invalid, and
faults or damage could occur.
7. Do not expose the device directly to the rays of the sun.
8. In order to avoid malfunctions, keep the device and the plug of the metal
probe dry at all times.
9. Never expose the metal probe to a naked flame.
10. Do not use the metal probe if the temperature in the oven is over
250°C/482°F. This would damage the lead.
11. Never use the metal probe in the microwave.
12. Please read through these instructions prior to using the device for the
first time. No liability is accepted for damage that occurs due to improper
use.
Inserting or Changing Batteries
Prior using the device for the first time, or if the display and the alarm signal
are becoming weaker, insert or replace the batteries as follows:
• To open the battery compartment on the backside of the monitor slide the
cover with moderate pressure into the direction of the arrow.

attention to the +/- markings. Only use alkaline batteries for a longer
service life and a better display.
