• Not all degrees of doneness will be available, depending upon the type
of meat selected (for example, poultry should always be consumed well
done). TIP: If you want another degree of doneness than the preset one,
you can change the core temperature manually. (see Manual temperature
adjustment)
• The corresponding core temperature "T RGET TEMP" is shown in the
centre of the display. The factory temperatures are reference values.
• Now, insert the point of the metal probe halfway into the thickest part of
the meat. However, ensure that the point is not inserted too close to
bones, cartilage, or very fatty areas so that the results are not skewed.
• Carefully close the door of the oven on the cable of the probe and place
the base on your countertop.
• C UTION: lways ensure that the cable or the base station do not come
into contact with the heating coil of the oven, any hot burners,
and/or hot pots!
• The currently measured temperature "CURRENT TEMP" appears in the
centre of the display.
• s soon as the desired core temperature "T RGET TEMP" has been
reached inside the meat, an alarm signal sounds. The alarm signal can
be turned off by pressing any button.
Manual temperature adjustment
• Depending upon the type of meat, the corresponding core temperatures
are preset. However, these can also be changed manually.
• Keep the "MODE" button pressed for 3 seconds. n acoustic signal
sounds and the "T RGET TEMP" display blinks.
• The "MIN" button increases the desired core temperature, the "SEC"
button decreases it.
• Press the "MODE" button again to confirm your selection.
• The currently measured temperature "CURRENT TEMP" appears in the
centre of the display.
• s soon as the desired core temperature "T RGET TEMP" has been
reached inside the meat, an alarm signal sounds. The alarm signal can
be turned off by pressing any button.
Timer function / stopwatch
• The maximum duration for the timer function and for the stopwatch is
99 minutes and 59 seconds.
• The timer function can be used independently from the thermometer
function.
