Cleaning and care

ATTENTION!
• Never submerge the device, the mains cord, and the plug in water or other
liquids.
• When cleaning, do not use any aggressive, scouring or toxic cleaners.
• Prior to each cleaning, pull the mains plug out of the socket.
• Allow the device to cool off before cleaning.
• Check the mains cord regularly for damage.
• Wipe the device off from the outside with a clean, damp cloth.
• Pull the scale fi lter up and out of the device. Clean it separately with a mild
detergent and warm water. Put the scale fi lter back in the device. Make sure
it is properly seated.
• Keep the device operational. You should use a decalcifi er on a regular basis
to remove calcifi cation from the water in accordance with the water quality in
your area and how often you use the kettle. To decalcify the kettle, follow the
instructions for the decalcifi er.

Troubleshooting

If the device is not working properly, please check whether you are able to
rectify the problem yourself fi rst.
Do not attempt to repair a defective device yourself!
Problem

Potential cause/solution
• Is the On/Off switch pushed down?
• Is the mains plug properly connected with the so-
cket?
• Is the socket defective? Try another socket.
• Check the fuse for your mains connection.
• Is the device overheated? Wait until the device has
cooled off, fi ll it with water and then try again.
• Is the water level below the Min mark?
• Has the lid been closed properly?
• Is the switch jammed?
