Before fi rst use
ATTENTION!
•
The plastic foils and bags pose a suffocation hazard! Keep children and
animals away from the packaging material.
•
Only use the device as described in this chapter. There may be some pro-
duction residues stuck to it.
1. Unpack the product contents and make sure that they are complete (see
chapter "Product contents and device overview") and check for any dama-
ges from transport. If the device, plug or mains cord exhibits damages, do
not use the device (!); instead contact customer service.
2. Before you use the device, remove all packaging material and any labels
located on the device and which serve to provide protection during transport
or are for advertising purposes.
3. Clean the kettle with a damp, soft cloth. You can use a small amount of mild
detergent if needed and rinse the device off with clean, warm water after-
wards. Dry it off with a soft cloth.
4. You can wind or unwind the mains cord to the desired length on the bottom
of the base.
5. Place the base on a dry, heat-resistant and even surface with suffi cient
space to fl ammable objects. Please ensure that the device is not accessible
to children.
6. Insert the mains plug in a properly installed and grounded 220 – 240 V so-
cket with earthing contacts.
