Information for positioning and using the appliance
11. Make sure that the electrical socket you are
using is easily accessible and that you can
pull the plug out quickly in an emergency.
12. Never touch the appliance or cable with wet
hands.
13. Do not clean the milk frother in a dishwasher.
14. For safety reasons, never place the appliance
on hot surfaces, a metal tray or a wet surface.
15. Never immerse the appliance or the cable in
water or other liquids.
16. Do not place the appliance or cable near
open flames during operation.
17. Always use the milk frother on a level,
uncluttered and heat-resistant surface.
18. Make sure that the cable does not hang over
the edge of the worktop or table, since this
can cause accidents, for example if small
children pull on the cable.
19. The cable must be laid so that it cannot be
pulled out and that no one can trip over it.
20. Never wind the cable around the appliance,
always use the cable storage on the base.
21. Always disconnect the cable from the wall
socket by pulling on the plug, never on the
cable.
22. Do not carry the base by the cable.
23. Use the milk frother only indoors.
24. Use the appliance only to heat milk or to
prepare salad dressings. Do not heat other
liquids, as this may damage the appliance.
25. Never heat other objects, such as cans or
bottles, in the milk frother.
26. Do not use the jug in the oven or microwave.
27. Make sure that the lid of the appliance is
always completely closed, to prevent injuries
from hot splashing milk.

Before using the appliance for the first tiMe

1. Remove all packaging materials and trans-
port safety equipment.
2. Clean all parts with a damp cloth, as descri-
bed in „Cleaning and Care" on page 22.
3. Check that the appliance stands firmly.

34. Allow the appliance to cool for several
minutes between two operations.
35. To prevent damage, do not use the appliance
with accessories from other manufacturers.
36. Disconnect the appliance from the wall
socket after use and before cleaning it.
Never leave the appliance unattended when
it is plugged into the wall socket.
37. Allow the appliance to cool before cleaning
it.
38. Never open the casing of the milk frother.
There is danger of electric shock.

Do not open the lid while milk is being
heated.
If the jug is too full, hot milk may
splash out.
For safety reasons, make sure that the
contact on the edge of the jug in which
the lid engages is always dry.
4. Connect the base to the power supply (220-
240 V~, 50/60 Hz) with the cable.
