3.2.2
Installing the sensor
To avoid possibly drilling through the seal, the sensor
may only be fixed on the upper section if the upper sec-
tion protrudes into the tank by at least the length of the
drilling template. To check, position the drilling template
on the upper section on the outside.
Open the cover plate of the separator.
Attach the stop of the drilling template to the bottom end
of the (already shortened) upper section.
Mark the holes (A/B) of the drilling template (1) on the
upper section and predrill with a Ø 6 mm drill bit. Select
the positions so that the seal is not damaged.
Screw the 2 stainless steel screws provided into the
upper section so that a gap of approx. 25 mm remains
between the screw head and the upper section.
If necessary, the enclosed vertically adjustable extension
pipe (4) should be installed so that the required installation
depth of the sensor unit (static level) can be reached.
To do so, feed the extension pipe (4) into the two bot-
tom clips of the bracket (2) and fix with the counterparts.
Then attach the enclosed clip size 8 (5) onto the exten-
sion pipe so that the subsequent static level is in the mid-
dle between the two clips.
Clip the sensor into the bottom two preassembled clips
(3) of the bracket (2) and fix with fixing parts.
Check the position of the marking for the static level, see
figure on the right.
Hook the bracket onto the 2 screws, tighten the screws if
necessary to retain the bracket, but so that it can still be
removed.
In case of two-neck systems, mark the inlet side upper
section with the green mandatory sticker and the outlet
side upper section with the red prohibition sticker, near
the cover plate.
The cable must not be in the area above the sensor (in
the water).
