4 COMMISSIONING

4.1 Checks prior to use

In France, in accordance with the DTU 68.3, or the applicable local standard in other countries, a visual
inspection must be carried out after installation to check that:

Before switching the unit on, the ducts must be connected.
▪
Sizing specifications are satisfied,
▪
The installation is safe (electrically, mechanically and hydraulically),
▪
The system's components are in good condition,
▪
All components can be accessed for maintenance.

4.2 Location of the control unit

▪
The control unit must not be installed more than 30 m away from the VMI® unit and at least
one metre away.
▪
Some obstacles may reduce the maximum range of the radio communication (walls, metal
objects, floors, etc.).
▪
It must be fixed on a horizontal support surface,
▪
Preferably, close to a heating thermostat if the premises are equipped with one.
▪
Do not install it close to a hot or cold source.
