5 MAINTENANCE

5.1 Changing filters

The VMI® PRO 1000 system integrates:
-
A fine particle filter (F7 type, ePM1 55%)
To ensure optimum air quality and the correct functioning of the VMI® PRO 1000 unit, the system
must be regularly maintained (at least once a year), even if the filter clogging indicator is clear.
Filter replacement procedure:
1- Cut the power to the VMI® unit.
2- Replace the old filter with a new filter (the filter tab must be facing outwards).
WARNING: Do not insert anything in the machine apart from the new filter.
3- Switch the machine on.
4- How to confirm filter replacement via the control unit:
1 - Open the SETTINGS menu.
3 - Choose the filter pictogram using the selector.
4 - Confirm by holding down the button for 3 seconds.
5 - The filter pictogram will flash, press the button to confirm the operation.

5- Or reset via the BMS if this option is enabled.
WARNING: When changing the filter, only the blue hatch must be removed. You may get an
electric shock, be burnt or cut yourself if you open the housing when energised.

5.2 Changing the control unit's batteries

The control unit contains 3 AA batteries.
Changing the batteries in the control unit
You need 3 new LR6/AA batteries.
Use your thumbs to slide the cover open.
Remove the dead batteries.
Insert the new batteries.
Close the cover by sliding it in the opposite
direction.
The batteries must not be thrown away with
household rubbish. To dispose of them in compliance with local
standards, take them to your local collection point or return them
to your retailer or manufacturer.
