FITTING
1.
Loosely attach Main Frame (A) to holes provided in the rear cross frame (465mm centres) using Bolts (G) with
flat washers (ensure Flat Washers at (X) are fitted between forward face of Main Frame (A) and rear cross
frame).
2.
Attach forward end of side arms (C1) and (C2) to holes provided in wheel arch frame using Nuts (D) with
spreader Plates (D1) (remove nut to clean threads) inserted from above inside boot (remove plastic grommet in
boot floor to reveal access hole - Note: the existing mounting is offset to the outside and is not visible from
above). Attach Side arms (C1) and (C2) to Main Frame (A) and vehicle chassis at holes provided using Bolts (F)
with Flat Washers, Spacer Plate (E1) fitted on the inboard face of the chassis and Bushes (E2) on the outside
and Bolts (E) with Flat Washers.
3.
Fully tighten all bolts starting with Bolts (G).
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z1) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm , M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
