6.2 Setting the DMX start address
For controlling the light effect unit with a light con-
troller, it is necessary to set the DMX start address
for the first DMX channel. If e. g. address 17 on the
controller is provided for controlling the operating
mode, set the start address 17 on the LED-
640RGBW.
Then the other functions of the LED-640RGBW
are automatically assigned to the 3 following chan-
nels (in this example 18 – 20). The next possible
start address for the following DMX-controlled unit
would be address 21 in this example.
1) Set the DMX start address:
a) Press the button MENU (8) once so that the
display (5) shows
b) Press the button ENTER. The address
adjusted starts flashing on the display.
c) Press the button
To memorize, press the button ENTER.
2) To exit the setting mode, keep the button MENU
pressed until the LED DMX (3) or MASTER (4)
lights up or wait for one minute.
3) Once the control signals of the DMX controller
are received, the red LED DMX (3) lights up and
the display shows the start address. Now the
LED-640RGBW can be operated with the DMX
controller.

8 Cleaning the Unit
Clean the lenses at regular intervals, depending on
impurities caused by dust, smoke or other dirt par-
ticles. Only this will ensure that light is emitted at
maximum brightness. For cleaning, disconnect
the mains plug from the socket. Only use a soft,
clean cloth and a glass cleaner. Then carefully wipe
the parts dry.
To clean the other parts of the housing, only use
a soft, clean cloth. Never use any liquid; it may leak
into the unit and cause damage.
