5. Initial Setup

5.1 Cleaning
The SQuape S[even] has been thoroughly
cleaned before dispatch.
Nevertheless, we recommend that you clean
under lukewarm water at regular intervals
before and after initial use and then dry tho-
roughly. In particular, the parts that come
into contact with liquid. The SQuape S[e-
ven] is suitable for ultrasonic baths.
CAUTION:
S[even] as long as parts are still wet or hu-
mid. Water can lead to short circuits and/or
other malfunctions. Allow the unit to air dry
thoroughly after cleaning.
***We also suggest to grease o-rings with
pure VG (vegetable glycerin) after each tho-
rough cleaning.
5.2 Use
You can access the coil by removing the cap
from the base. Unscrew the screws and take
one of your own or a prefabricated coil and
place it in the deck. We recommend coils
with a diameter of 2 - 3mm. Place the wire
leads under the respective screws and fas-
ten each securely. Now you can check the
resistance of the coil with your regulated
device or multimeter. Glow the coil slowly
and make sure that it glows evenly. Before
attaching the cotton, make sure that the coil
has cooled down again. Take a strand of cot-
ton and pull it through the coil. This should
not be too tight or too loose. Now cut the

cotton to the deck as desired. Place the cot-
ton loosely in the base and wet the cotton
with Liquid. Finally mount the cap back on
the deck. Make sure that the stopper, which
is located on top of the deck, can reach into
one of the two recesses inside the cap. By
turning the cap, the air can be adjusted as
desired.
