Setting up the receiving antenna
After defining the place according to the chapter before, mount the receiving antenna on the opposite place of the
sending antenna at the stable wall. Place the receiving one properly so that the two antennas "look to each other".
The 5 m antenna cable will connect the antenna with the AVLink indoor.
Important: Both antennas must be placed in same position (horizontally against the ground) and there shall not be any
obstacle inbetween for perfect signal transmitting. No other objects such as steel pipe within a meter from antenna
which might affect the signal transmission quality.
Slide the shrink tube on to the antenna cable and leave it until the final step of the installation. Do not heat until final
installation! Connect the antenna cable (5 m) to the antenna.
Lead the antenna cable to the place indoor where you intend to have the AVLink. Place the AVLink away from interfering
things especially electric devices. Consider the cable devices at the chapter describing the mounting of transmitting
antenna.
Setting up the AVLink
5V
The AVLink reinforces the signal from the receiving antenna to the LCD monitor inhouse. For proper performance connect
the 5 m cable with the connection marked with "receiver". Connect the black flat antenna (5 dBi) at the connection
marked with "Transmitter". Power on the AVLink with the correct plug (5 volts). The AVLink increases the range up to
30 to 50m depending of wall thickness and number of walls.
AVLink now supports receiving up to three camera signals on channels 1-4 and sending camera signals into your home
on channel 1. When AVLink is switched on, the default receiving channel is channel 4. When the channel selector button
on the left is pressed, the receiving channels is switched to channel 3,2,1 and then back to 4.
The default transmitting channel is 1. If other devices in the house are causing interference, switch to channel 2 by
pressing the button on the right side.
If AVLink is working in "Loop" mode after the "Manual/Loop" switch on the left side of AVLink has been set to 5~45
seconds, its receiving channel will automatically switch among the selected channels at the interval of chosen seconds.
Camera signals still continue to be transmitted via channel 1. The loop mode enables the LCD monitor to display signals
from different cameras alternately at 5~45 intervals, without switching the monitor channels. If AVLink is working on
"Manual" status, you have to press channel selector button to see the working camera on that channel via monitor.
Default working channel on monitor is channel 1 when monitor is powered on. You do not need switch to other channel
to see the picture if camera signals are sending through AVLink on channel 1. Monitor channel switching is needed only
when you test camera without going through AVLink during the process of setting up stableCam set.
Make sure your cameras in the stable are working on the selected channels (If restricted by the microswitches), then the
AVLink receiver can receive camera signals and rebroadcast them to your home. In practice, this means that you will get
a better picture of your stable on your LCD-monitor when you are in the house and receive the signal through the AVLink
instead of receiving the weakened signal directly from the camera (without using the AVLink). AVLink extends signal
receiving range inside your house on this point.
