4.Change the engine oil (see page 27).
5.Clean the air cleaner (see page 28).
6.Remove the spark plug, and pour about a tablespoon of clean engine
oil into the cylinder. Crank the engine several revolutions to
distribute the oil, then reinstall the spark plug.
7.Pull the starter grip until you feel resistance and the notch on the
flywheel fin aligns with the mark on the fan cover. This closes the
valves so moisture cannot enter the engine cylinder, and protects the
engine from dust and corrosion. Return the starter rope gently.
8.Cover the pump to keep out dust.
