11. TiO2 Photocatalyst
The TiO2 photocatalyst works with a special UV-C light. It has strong bactericid-
al functions that efficiently purifiy the air.
Note: The TiO2 photocatalyst is specific patent technology, with a lifespan over
5000 hours.
12. The Rear Cover
As a safety precaution, power will be cut off automatically when the rear cover is open. It is
necessary to close the rear cover securely for power reconnection.
13. Brushless DC Motor
A DC motor is highly efficient and energy saving. Compared with a common motor, a brushless
motor saves up to 30 % - 40 % energy, with longer lifespan and less noise.
14. Odor Sensor
The odor sensor is constructed with a collective heater and a
formed metal compound of aluminum substrate. When the ex-
istence of air is detected, the higher the density of the air is, the
higher the conductivity of the sensors becomes, which causes
the output voltage to increase.
The current designated standards are:
• Good Air Quality: IC detecting the sensor with output voltage
less 2.0V.
• Moderate Air Quality: IC detecting the sensor with output volt-
age between 2.0-3.5V.
• Poor Air Quality: IC detecting the sensor with output voltage
higher than 3.5V.
15. Dust Sensor
When the light passes through a convex lens, it irradiates the
size and amount of the dust particles in the internal space, and a
pulse signal is transferred. The dust sensor is capable of detect-
ing dust particles bigger than 1micrometer.
The current designated standards are:
• Good Air Quality: Sensor IC detecting less than 5 pulses within
20 seconds.
• Moderate Air Quality: Sensor IC detecting less than 5 – 120
pulses within 20 seconds.
• Poor Air Quality: Sensor IC detecting more than 120 pulses
within 20 seconds.

OPERATIONS
ON/OFF Switch
1.
Press the ON/OFF button to switch on the appliance. (Default at low speed mode with ionizer
and TiO2 photocatalyst on). Press the ON/OFF button again to switch off the appliance.
2. Speed Control
Choose from 4 speed settings: SLEEP, LOW, HIGH and TURBO.
3. Timing Control
The timing control allows you to set the appliance to turn off after either 1, 4 or 8 hours. (This
button is on the remote control).
4. Auto-mode
The speed of the air flow in the automatic mode is set up depending on the level of air contam-
ination, determined by the odor and dust sensors.

5. Sleep Mode
Short cut to the sleep mode speed setting. (This button is on the remote control).
6. Child-safety Lock
Press to activate child-safety lock function. All functions cannot be altered in this
mode (this button is on the remote control). Press and hold the button for 3 seconds
to deactivate the child-safety lock function.
