4 Setting up the Product
The receiver is designed for installation into a rack
(482 mm / 19"); however, it can also be placed
on a table For installation into a rack, 1 RS (rack
space = 44 45 mm) is required
4.1 Connections on CS-W4C
Always switch off the receiver before making or
changing any connections
1) Insert the two antennas provided (2) into the
antenna jacks ANT A and ANT B (16) and put
them in a vertical position
Hints:
1 To increase the range and the interference re-
sistance, the antenna amplifiers UB-900I can be
inserted The amplifiers are supplied with power
via the antenna jacks of the receiver (chapter 4 4)
2 By means of the antenna cable set RTF-UF20, the
antennas can also be fixed to the front of the
receiver: Insert the jacks of the antenna cables
through the mounting holes (1) and fasten them;
then connect the cables to the antenna jacks (16)
2) Two options are available for routing the mi-
crophone signals received to the audio inputs
of the subsequent unit (e g mixer, amplifier):
– For routing all signals individually: Use the
XLR connections CH1– CH4 (21)
– For routing all signals mixed: Use the con-
nections MIXED AF OUTPUT (20)
The output levels can be switched between
line level and microphone level (chapters 4 4
and 4 6 1)
3) For power supply, use the cable provided
to connect the mains jack (14) to a socket
(230 V/ 50 Hz)
Hint: The receiver has a low power consumption
even when it is switched off Therefore disconnect
the mains plug from the socket when the receiver
is not used for a longer period of time
