•
The loading rails may not be used as a loading bridge.
•
There may be no persons standing underneath the loading rails.
•
Only use in pairs and set up parallel to one another.
•
Make sure the underground is solid and level.
•
Inspect the ramp before each use. Tighten any loose hardware, replace any worn or
damaged parts. Proper care and maintenance of the ramps are essential to safety.
•
Carefully drive up to the loading rails only under the supervision of two people.
3.
Assembly
•
Make sure the flange faces with the tongue down. It is designed to keep the ramp from
moving once the weight of the load is on the ramp.
•
Line up the holes on the tongue with the holes on the ramp. Insert the bolts from the top
and secure with washers and nuts.
4.
Use
4.1
General Use
1. Make sure no persons or animals are under the ramp or truck bed during the loading
process.
2. Never load a vehicle while its engine is running. Let the vehicle cool down before loading it.
3. Never exceed the maximum weight of 200 kg. Load the vehicle slowly. Do not drop load
onto ramp. This may reduce load capacity and possibly lead to personal injury and /or
property damage. All loading and unloading must be done on a flat, level, dry surface.
4.2
Loading a Motorcycle
1. Make sure the ramp is clean of dirt, debris, grease and oil.
2. The tongue edge must face down fully and touch the tailgate of the truck.
3. Position a person on each side of the motorcycle. Each person should hold either the front
handlebar or the front fork, where they can steer/guide the vehicle.
4. They should position their other hand toward the rear of the seat or the rear fork. The third
person can start the process from the rear, by pushing, then move to the inside of the
truck bed to take control of the motorcycle when it enters the truck bed.
5. Put motorcycle in neutral.
6. As the motorcycle contacts the ramp, make sure the ramp remains straight, and the
tongue edge remains in contact with the truck bed. If not, roll back and slowly start over.
5.
Cleaning and maintenance
•
Regularly inspect the ramp for stress fractures and breakage.
•
Tighten nuts and bolts before each use.
•
Make sure the ramp is clean of dirt, debris, grease and oil.
