Cutting Sticks
The coarse lattice insert is suitable for cutting potato sticks for chips, for example, and
you can use the fi ne lattice insert for slightly softer food such as cucumbers or onions.
1. Wash the food which is to be chopped up and peel it if necessary. Cut larger types
of foodstuffs such as onions or carrots into halves or quarters.
2. Attach the fi ne (6) or coarse (13) lattice insert and the lid with the pestle to the frame.
Grating and Slicing or Cutting Juliennes
ATTENTION!
■ Never cut smaller food (pieces) without the fi nger guard!
Remove the lid when using the V slicer or the grater so that it cannot present an
obstacle.
1. Wash the food which is to be chopped up and peel it if necessary. Cut large types of
food into halves or quarters.
2. If the lid is attached to the frame, remove it.
3. If you want to cut juliennes (vegetable strips), attach the julienne insert (9) to the V
slicer (8). To cut slices remove it.
4. Attach the V slicer or, if you want to grate the food, the grater (7) to the frame.
5. Hold the slicer fi rmly with one hand and use your other hand to move the food which
is to be chopped up back and forth on the insert. The chopped-up food will drop into
the collecting container.
Using the Finger Guard
ATTENTION!
■ Danger of injury! Only hold the fi nger guard by the handle. Do not reach over it!
With the fi nger guard (2), you can cut fruit, vegetables, sausages or cheese right down
so there is as little left as possible – without cutting yourself in the process!

3. Place the food on the lattice insert. Place onions with the
rounded side on the fi ne lattice insert; place pieces of car-
rot vertically on the coarse lattice insert and press them
down slightly.
4. Press the lid onto the food with even pressure. CAUTION!
Do not exert too much pressure; the insert could be
damaged. The food will be pressed through the blades
and will fall chopped up into the collecting container.
1. Place the food onto the pins in the fi nger guard. The grip
on the top of the fi nger guard is pushed out.
2. Place the fi nger guard onto the frame lengthways.
