Internal or external battery?
Use the following table to determine the best battery to meet your needs.

Fitting the internal batteries
Set the speed switch (9) to the "Off" position. Hold the
energiser flat in one hand with the stand fixing location tab
(11) upward. With the other hand squeeze the chassis
retaining clips (3) to re lease the chassis (2). Draw out the
chassis (2) using the finger pull handle (10). Locate the
battery bay (16) and insert four size D batteries in the
direction marked. Replace the chassis, pushing firmly on the
finger pull handle (10) until the chassis locks in place.
Connecting the external batteries
Set the speed switch (9) to the "Off" position. Ensure that all
internal batteries have been removed. Connect the red external
battery lead (12) to the external battery connector Pos + (5).
Connect the black external battery lead (13) to the external battery
connector Neg - (6). Connect the red external battery lead clip to
the external battery positive (+) terminal. Connect the black
external battery lead clip to the external battery negative (-) terminal.
Using the P30 energiser
Mount the energiser securely. Connect the energiser fence clip (1) to the fence and the
earth clip (14) to a suitable ground.
