Temperature
∫ The covering tolerates normal ambient
temperatures (-18°C to +60°C).
∫ Do NOT operate sunprotection screen
in frosty conditions.
Humidity
∫ The covering is 100% humidity re-
sistant.
∫ DO NOT spray off with high pressure.
∫ Do not use the sun protection fabric
in heavy rain, snow or hail.
∫ In order to ensure good water resistan-
ce, your covering must be installed ac-
cording to the installation instructions.
Damage caused by rainfall due to poor
installation is not covered by the gene-
ral warranty.
Wind
∫ The sunprotection screen should only
be operated downward in winds up to
50 kph.
∫ The sunprotection screen should be
rolled up in winds > 100 kph.
∫ Vertical Fixscreen can be operated up-
wards in wind speeds up to 30 km/h.
∫ An unrolled vertical Fixscreen does not
give any problems up to 60 km/h.
∫ In strong wind, it is advisable to roll
up the screen roof: in windy areas, it
is advisable to provide an anemometer
(wind meter).

USE

Snow
∫ We make no guarantees concerning
burden of snow. Even a mild snowfall
(or shower of hail) requires the screen
roof to be rolled up. The roof must be
open (= fabric not visible, fully rolled up
in the screen box). If there is ice for-
mation in the lateral guides, one may
not operate the screen roof before the
guides are free of ice as otherwise da-
mage can occur to the product.
Obstacles
∫ There should be no obstacles to pre-
vent the screen being rolled up or
down, e.g. planters, branches, etc.
Make sure there are no twigs or lea-
ves on the fabric.
∫ When the screen is under pooling wa-
ter, first remove the water before rolling
up the screen.

Electrical control

∫ Stop the movement immediately if the
motor makes an abnormal noise. Con-
sult the installer if you cannot find the
cause yourself.
∫ If the final adjustment of the motor is
no longer adequate (e.g. the roof does
not close completely), consult your in-
staller.
∫ If your sun protection is connected to
an automatic control (type wind-sun
machine), it is advisable to switch the
machine to manual operation in the fol-
lowing cases:
- In the winter, as operating in case of
frost can cause damage.
- When you are away from home for an
extended period.
∫ See also specific electrical regulations
(page 79).
