Toasting
•
To make toast, use only the proper type of bread.
•
The width of a toast slot (approx. 2.8 x 14.8 cm) allows the toasting of larger bread
sizes, such as sandwich bread.
•
The selection switch activates toasting in three or six
slots.
If the selection switch is set to 3, three slots
may be used; if the switch is set to 6, all
toasting slots will operate.
•
Place bread slices in the selected slots.
•
Lift the lever up.
WARNING! Danger of fire!
Never cover the toasting slots while the unit is in use
as this may lead to overheating and fire!
•
Use the timer to set the desired browning level (0-5).
•
To achieve deeper browning, set the timer to a higher
level; for weaker browning select a lower level. The
ideal level of browning is between 1.5 and 2.
NOTE!
The level selected depends on the type of bread. More moist breads (e.g. rye or
whole grain) require longer browning times and thus a higher browning level.
For best results, only toast one type of bread at a time.
•
The browning process begins immediately after the timer has been set.
•
During the browning process the red light on the selection switch comes on.
