o Batteries are not included.
o When unpacking the kitchen appliance, check to ensure that it is complete and not
damaged in any way. In case of doubt, do not use the kitchen appliance and contact
your dealer or your service centre.

• USING THE KITCHEN SCALE FOR THE FIRST TIME

Inserting the batteries

o Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the
kitchen scale.
o Install new AAA 1.5 V batteries. NB: Ensure the battery polarity
complies with the polarity shown in the battery compartment.
o Close the battery compartment.

Weight Measurement Procedure

o Place the kitchen scale on a level, hard and dry surface.
o Press the power button to turn on the kitchen scale. Wait until the LCD display shows
zero before measuring.
o Place the item that is to be weighed in the centre of the weighing platform.
o Allow the scale to adjust to the weight of the object for a few seconds, before the final
measured reading is shown on the LCD display.
o NOTE: To manually turn off the kitchen scale, press and hold down the power button.
Otherwise, the kitchen scale will automatically shut off after two minutes of inactivity.
