I. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

explain clearly its operation. Please read
them carefully, as they will enable you to
keep your watch in perfect working order.
Before explaining you how wind your watch
up, note that "the normal position", as it's
mentioned on the sketch p.19, means that
the crown is not pulled.

1) Rewinding
To ensure that your watch has sufficient energy
to work, it is preferable to wear it daily. If you
have not worn it for several days, it must be
wound up before you wear it. This is a mecha-
nical selfwinding watch so the mainspring is
wound automatically due to wrist motion. Let
the crown ( situated at 3 o'clock ) in normal
position ( sketch p.19 ) and turn it around thirty
times clockwise. « Clockwise » means rotating it
away from you. Wind slowly and consistently.

2) Setting the time

Pull the crown out to the second position
( sketch p.19 ). Turn the crown clockwise
to set hour and minute hands. When the
crown is pushed back to the position 0, the
small second hand begins to turn.
