During use

3.4.1

General notes

After powering-up, the flame detector requires almost no attention to
function properly, but the following should be noted:
Do not expose the flame detector to radiation of any kind unless
required for testing purposes.
Do not open the detector housing while power is applied - there is
a risk of ignition of hazardous atmospheres.
Do not open the electronic compartment. This part should be kept
closed always and only opened in the factory. Opening the
electronic component side invalidates the warranty.
Only access the wiring compartment to wire or remove the
detector or access RS-485 terminals for maintenance.
3.4.2
Manual reset
Note: Most detectors are used in the non-latching alarm mode. Only
perform a reset when the latching alarm option has been programmed.
Disconnect power (terminal number 1 or terminal number 2).

Initiate a manual BIT (Dräger Flame 2000/2500/2700 only).

least 24 V at the
detector terminal.
Send the flame
detector to Dräger
for repairs.
Clean
detector
flame
window.
Repower
the
flame detector.
Send the flame
detector to Dräger
for repairs.
Reset the flame
detector.
