8. Pull the starter rope up through the handle (B).
9. Release the knot (C).
10. Remove the starter rope.
11. Make sure that the recoil spring is clean and not
damaged.
12. Put a new starter rope (A) in the hole in the starter
housing.

13. Pull the starter rope through the starter rope handle
and make a knot at the end of the starter rope (A).

14. Attach the cover on the starter rope handle (B).
15. Adjust the tension of the recoil spring. Refer to
adjust the tension of the recoil spring on page 15 .

1. Pull out the starter rope.
2. Put the starter rope in the notch and wind it up
around the metal sleeve.
