∙ Children must not be permitted to play
with the appliance.
∙ Children must not be permitted to
carry out any cleaning or maintenance
work on the appliance unless they
are supervised and at least 8 years of
age.
∙ The appliance and its power cord must
be kept well away from children under
8 at all times.
∙ Caution: Keep any packaging materials well away from
children – these are a potential source of danger, e.g. of
suffocation.
∙ Caution: Do not, under any circumstances, cover
the grill rack with aluminium foil, barbecue dishes or
other items, as the resulting build-up of heat could
cause irreparable damage to the appliance.
∙ Before the appliance is used, the main body as well as
any attachment fitted should be checked thoroughly for
any defects. Should the appliance, for instance, have
been dropped onto a hard surface, it must no longer be
used: even invisible damage may have adverse effects
on the operational safety of the appliance. In this case,
please contact our customer service.
∙ During operation, the steakboard must be placed on
a level, heat-resistant surface, impervious to splashes
and stains. When grilling food with a high fat or moisture
content, splashes are not always avoidable.
∙ The power cord should be routed in such a way that no
one is likely to trip over it.
∙ Do not position the steakboard next to a wall or corner,
and ensure that no inflammable materials are stored
near it.
∙ Do not operate the appliance outdoors.
∙ Before the appliance is used, always check that the
reflector tray is correctly fitted in the steakboard.
∙ The steakboard must be supervised at all times during
operation.
∙ Do not allow the power cord to touch any hot parts of the
appliance.
∙ Always remove the plug from the wall socket
- after use,
- in case of any malfunction, and
- during cleaning.
∙ When removing the plug from the wall socket, never pull
on the power cord; always grip the plug itself.
∙ The use of an extension-lead reel causes a loss of
power, possibly combined with a subsequent heat build-
up in the cable. It is therefore necessary to unwind the
cable completely from the reel.
∙ Caution: Do not move the steakboard when it is in use.
Before transporting, cleaning or storing the steakboard,
ensure that is has sufficiently cooled down.

Heating-up for the first time
∙ Let the steakboard heat up, as described in the section
Grilling, without any food for about 10 minutes at

is adequate ventilation by opening windows or balcony
doors.
∙ Clean the grill rack as described in the Cleaning and
care section.
