Heating
The drinking bowl is delivered as complete unit but without connecting cable.
See connecting cable in the list of cable lengths. In addition for each drinking
bowl one SUEVIA transformer is necessary. The transformer has to be
installed outside of animal's reach! For frost-protection of the water supply
line a frost protection heating cable can be supplied.
Protect the supply cable against animal's bites!
(see Instructions for installation of Transformatror)
Use in Winter season
Due to installed valve heating (24 V, 20 W) the valve is protected approx. down to -10°C. A thermostat integrated
in the connection cable switches the heating on at 5°C and off at 12°C.
For power supply a SUEVIA Transformer 230/24 V is necessary. The heating element is equipped with a 3 m connection cable
and mounted behind the tube valve, inaccessible for the animal!
To ensure a frost-free feed pipe, a frost protection heating cable 24 V, 20 W, 2 m (Ref. 101.0861), or a 24 V, 30 W, 3 m
(Ref. 101.1863) has to be used. Thermostat (Ref. 101.0389), for automatic switch on/off
of transformer, can be optionally installed.
Attention!
When connecting the power cable of the valve heating, it has to be taken into account
to lead the cable through the openings, already foreseen in the bowl.
If not done this way, the cable will be squeezed once the cover is mounted.
Mounting
For better heat distribution the water pipe has to be wrapped first with an
aluminium adhesive tape (Ref. 101.1099). Then the heating cable should be
wrapped around the pipe and fixed on it with the aluminium adhesive tape.
Around the metal pipes the heating cable can be be wrapped directly.
Fix frost protection heating cable with an aluminium adhesive tape.
Connection cable of valve heating has to be fixed with the aluminium adhesive tape, to.
Dont't use the cable clips -> they squeeze the cable!
Fire prevention
A minimum distance of 30 mm to flammable material should be held.
The drinking bowl must not be run without water if the heating is activated!
