SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING: the safety instructions are an integral part of the appliance�
For your own safety, please read them carefully before using it for the
first time�
• Never go above the Max�1�8 L mark�
• Never run the blender if the lid if not secured properly or if the lid seal
and blades are not assembled correctly�
• Never put your fingers or anything other than the spatula delivered
with the product in the bowl while the blender is operating�
• If the blades get stuck, always disconnect the blender before removing
the ingredients�
• Always disconnect the blender (i) if it is left without surveillance, (ii)
before mounting, dismounting or cleaning, (iii) before changing the
attachments and (iv) when you need to go near any moving parts�
• All surfaces in contact with food must be cleaned with soapy water or
washing-up liquid (see further details under CLEANING)�
• Special precautions must be taken when handling sharpened blades,
when emptying the bowl and during cleaning� There is a risk of injury if
the blender is used incorrectly�
• Never immerse the blender in water or other liquids in order to avoid
the risk of electrocution�
• Do not place the blender on or near a gas burner or hot plate nor in
a hot oven�
• This appliance is intended solely for use in the home�
• Do not use the blender outside�
• Children must not play with the blender� The blender must not be used
by children� Keep the blender and its cord out of reach of children�
• The blender can be used by persons whose, physical, sensory or
mental capacities are reduced, or by persons who have no experience
or knowledge of the appliance, provided they are properly supervised
or have been instructed beforehand on using the blender safely and they
understand the risks involved�
• Use of the appliance in the following cases is not covered by the
warranty: in staff kitchen areas in stores, offices and other working
environments, in farms, by guests in hotels, motels, bed & breakfasts,
guest houses and other residential environments�
